EN: The cruise ship MS Vasco Da Gama of
the German cruise line TransOcean Kreuzfahrten was docked in Antwerp for the
first time on September 16th 2019. The ship sailed a short cruise from Bremerhaven
directly to Antwerp. All passengers disembarked in the city after which MS
Vasco Da Gama set course for Amsterdam where it would go into dry dock for
planned maintenance. In total the ship was only docked in Antwerp for three and
a half hours.
NL: MS Vasco Da Gama is het nieuwste schip van de Engelse
rederij Cruise & Maritime Voyages. Het schip wordt grotendeels ingezet voor
hun Duitse vertrakking, TransOcean Kreuzfahrten. Het schip werd in 1993 gebouwd
als MS Statendam voor Holland America Line. Sinds 2015 voer het als MS Pacific
Eden voor P&O Cruises Australia. Begin 2019 werd het schip uiteindelijk
overgenomen door Cruise & Maritime Voyages.
EN: MS Vasco Da Gama is the newest ship
of the British company Cruise & Maritime Voyages, but it is mostly catered
by their German subdivision Transocean Kreuzfahrten. The ship was built in 1993
as MS Statendam for Holland America Line. Since 2015 the ship sailed as MS
Pacific Eden for P&O Cruises Australia. At the beginning of 2019 the ship
was finally transferred to Cruise & Maritime Voyages.
