Extra cruise call 2018 – Christmas Cruise Pont-Aven

NL: Brittany Ferries heeft zojuist bekend gemaakt dat hun cruiseferry MS Pont-Aven dit jaar opnieuw naar Antwerpen zal komen tijdens een Kerstcruise. Het schip zal op 25 en 26 december te zien zijn aan het Zuiderterras. Het zal met grote waarschijnlijkheid ook het laatste cruiseschip voor 2018 zijn.

EN: Brittany Ferries has announced that their cruise-ferry Pont-Aven will once again come to Antwerp this year during a Christmas cruise. The ship will be docked at the Zuiderterras on the 25^th and 26^th of December. It will most likely also be the last cruise ship of 2018.

NL: Het zal de derde keer zijn dat de cruiseferry van de Franse rederij naar Antwerpen komt. In 2013 en 2014 kwam het schip ook rond kerstmis naar de stad voor een overnachting. De passagiers krijgen op die manier de kans om de Antwerpse kerstmarkt te bezoeken. Normaal gezien vaart het schip het hele jaar door tussen Ierland, Engeland, Spanje en Frankrijk, maar tijdens de feestdagen wijkt het schip enkele dagen af van haar vaste vaarschema voor twee feestcruises; één naar Antwerpen tijdens kerstmis en een tweede naar Rouen in Frankrijk tijdens Nieuwjaar.

EN: It will be the third time the cruise-ferry of the French company will visit Antwerp. In 20143and 2014 the ship also visited around Christmas to make an overnight call. That way the passengers get the chance to explore the Christmas market of Antwerp. Normally the ship sails on its fixed routes between Ireland, England, Spain and France the whole year round, but they break this schedule for a few days to sail two holiday cruises; one to Antwerp during Christmas, and a second one to Rouen in France during New Year.
