NL: Cruise Port Antwerp heeft de officiële zeecruiselijst gepubliceerd. Voor 2018 zijn er al minstens 25 zeecruiseaanlopen gepland met
17 verschillende schepen en de mogelijkheid bestaat dat er nog bij zullen komen.
EN: Cruise Port Antwerp has published the official sea cruise list. At least 25 sea cruise calls have been planned for 2018 with 17 different
ships, and there is a possibility that more calls will still be added.

NL: Het
cruiseseizoen voor 2018 ziet er opnieuw veelbelovend uit. Met 25 aanlopen blijven we opnieuw rond het
gemiddelde van de voorbije jaren. In totaal zullen al zeker 17 verschillende zeecruiseschepen een bezoek brengen aan Antwerpen. Zoals elk jaar
keren de bekende schepen ook weer terug.
We openen het seizoen dit jaar opnieuw met MS Astoria. Het
70 jaar oude cruiseschip draagt de titel van oudste cruiseschip ter wereld en
is op zaterdag 10 maart te zien aan het Zuiderterras. In april volgt dan de
Balmoral van Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines op haar eerste van vier aanlopen dit
jaar. Ook de Braemar krijgen we later op het jaar nog op bezoek.
Op 7 & 8 mei krijgen we MS Hanseatic voor de laatste
keer op bezoek. Het schip gaat eind dit jaar uit de vloot van Hapag-Lloyd
Cruises en wordt overgenomen door One Ocean Expeditions. De dag erna, op 9 mei,
krijgen we na 6 jaar opnieuw een schip van AIDA Cruises op bezoek. Op 9 en 10
mei zal MS AIDAvita voor de eerste keer te zien zijn in Antwerpen. Het schip
is, net zoals alle andere schepen van de rederij, beschilderd met het
kenmerkende oog en rode lippen.
In juni vindt het culinaire festival Europa’s Beste ook opnieuw
plaats in Antwerpen aan boord van de MS Europa. Ook de Europa 2 zal dit jaar
opnieuw langskomen.
Naast de AIDAvita komen er nog drie andere schepen voor de
eerste keer naar de stad. Twee van deze schepen zijn momenteel zelfs nog in
aanbouw. Begin september mogen we Le Laperouse van de franse rederij Ponant
verwelkomen. Het is het eerste van vier expeditiejachten dat voor de rederij
gebouwd wordt. Een maand erna mogen we ook het nieuwste schip van Seabourn
verwelkomen: Seabourn Ovation. De vierde maiden call is de Pacific Princess van
Princess Cruises. Die mogen we eind september verwachten.
Vanaf eind
oktober komen enkel Cruise & Maritime Voyages en Fred. Olsen Cruise
Lines nog langs met Magellan, Columbus, Braemar en Balmoral. Vier aanlopen
daarvan zullen kerstcruises zijn. Het seizoen zal uiteindelijk afgesloten
worden door MS Columbus op 18 december.

cruiselijst van de Stad Antwerpen online komt.
EN: The cruise season of 2018 looks promising once
again. With 25 cruise calls we stay around the average of the last few years. A
total of at least 17 different sea cruise ships will pay a visit to Antwerp.
Like every year several ships are returning again.
The season
will once again be opened by MS Astoria. The 70 year old cruise ship with the
title of oldest cruise ship in the world will visit the city on Saturday 10
March. In April MS Balmoral of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines will make her first of
four calls to Antwerp this year. Later in the year MS Braemar will also pay us
a visit.
On 7 &
8 May MS Hanseatic will visit for the very last time. At the end of the year
the ship will leave the fleet of Hapag-Lloyd Cruises and will be transferred to
One Ocean Expeditions. The day after the call, on 9 May, a ship of AIDA Cruises
will visit Antwerp again after six years. On 9 & 10 May MS AIDAvita will be
docked in Antwerp for the first time. The ship has, just like all the other
ships of the company, the eye-catching eye and red lips on the bow.
In June
Antwerp will once again host the culinary festival Europa’s Beste on board MS
Europa. Europa 2 will also visit the city this year.
Apart from
AIDAvita there will be three more maiden calls to the city this year. Two of
those ships are currently still being built. At the start of September we may
welcome Le Laperouse of the French cruise line Ponant. It is the first of four
expedition yachts that are being built for the company.One month later we will
welcome the newest ship of Seabourn to the city: Seabourn Ovation. The fourth
maiden call is MS Pacific Princess of Princess Cruises. She is expected at the
end of September.
From the
end of October onwards it is only Cruise & Maritime Voyages and Fred. Olsen
Cruise Lines that will visit with Magellan, Columbus, Braemar and Balmoral.
Four of those calls will be Christmas cruises. The season will be closed by MS
Columbus on 18 December.
