EDR Antwerp Shipyard – Ferries ‘Spirit of France’ & ‘Stena Britannica’ 2026

NL: Begin januari 2026 brachten twee passagiersferry’s op het zelfde moment een gepland bezoek aan de scheepswerf EDR Antwerp Shipyard. Ferrymaatschappijen kiezen steeds vaker voor onderhoud bij de Antwerpse scheepswerf.

EN: At the beginning of January 2026, two passenger ferries made a scheduled visit to the EDR Antwerp Shipyard at the same time. Ferry companies are increasingly opting for maintenance at the Antwerp shipyard.

NL: De 213,5 meter lange ferry Spirit of France van P&O Ferries vertrok op 4 januari vanuit het Engelse Dover richting Antwerpen. Via de Zandvlietsluis voer de passagiersferry de volgende ochtend de Antwerpse haven binnen. Om 12:00u meer de het schip uiteindelijk aan bij de scheepswerf in het recent vernieuwde Droogdok 5, het meest Noordelijke dok van de werf. Ondanks de hevige sneeuwbuien werd de ferry zonder problemen gedokt.

Twee dagen later, op 7 januari, kwam ook de Stena Line-ferry Stena Britannica aan bij EDR Antwerp Shipyard. Het 240 meter lange schip vertrok op 6 januari uit Hoek van Holland en meerde om 12:30u aan in Droogdok 6, aan de Zuidkant van de werf.

MS Spirit of France verliet op 16 januari om 16:30u de werf en zette terug koers richting Dover. Stena Britannica zal nog tot ongeveer 20 januari in de werf blijven liggen. Er worden algemene onderhoudswerken aan de romp, de boegschroeven en de propellers uitgevoerd, maar ook boven de waterlijn wordt er gewerkt. Zo worden er bij Stena Britannica onder andere ook enkele ramen vervangen.

MS Spirit of France wordt door P&O Ferries ingezet op de Kanaalroute tussen Calais en Dover. Stena Britannica verzorgt voor Stena Line de verbinding tussen Hoek Van Holland en Harwich.

EN: P&O Ferries' 213.5-metre-long ferry Spirit of France departed from Dover, England, on 4 January, bound for Antwerp. The passenger ferry entered the port of Antwerp via the Zandvlietlock the following morning. At 12:00 noon, the ship arrived at the shipyard in the recently renovated Dry Dock 5, the northernmost dock of the shipyard. Despite heavy snow showers, the ferry docked without any problems.

Two days later, on 7 January, the Stena Line ferry Stena Britannica also arrived at EDR Antwerp Shipyard. The 240-metre-long ship departed from Hoek van Holland on 6 January and moored at 12:30 p.m. in Dry Dock 6, on the south side of the shipyard.

MS Spirit of France left the shipyard again at 16:30 p.m. on 16 January and set course for Dover. Stena Britannica will remain in the shipyard until approximately 20 January. General maintenance work will be carried out on the hull, bow thrusters and propellers, but work will also be carried out above the waterline. For example, several windows will be replaced on the Stena Britannica.

MS Spirit of France is operated by P&O Ferries on the Channel route between Calais and Dover. Stena Britannica operates the connection between Hoek Van Holland and Harwich for Stena Line.

Voet aan wal in Ferry- en Ro/Ro-industrie / Gaining a foothold in the Ferry and Ro/Ro Industry

NL: De twee passagiersferry’s die tegelijkertijd in werf liggen tonen dat EDR Antwerp Shipyard steeds meer voet aan wal krijgt in de ferry- en Ro/Ro-industrie. Vroeger waren er zo goed als nooit ferry’s te gast op de werf. Nu worden hun bezoeken sinds enkele jaren jaarlijks herhaald. In 2022 mocht EDR Antwerp Shipyard nog het onderhoud en de renovatie van het interieur uitvoeren bij Stena Britannica en Stena Hollandica. In 2024 kreeg men de slechts één jaar oude P&O Pioneer op bezoek alsook de Stena Transporter en Stena Transit. In 2025 was het de beurt aan de Pride of Hull en Finnwave. Ook voor de toekomst hoopt men dat deze trend zich zal verderzetten.

EN: The two passenger ferries currently in the shipyard demonstrate that EDR Antwerp Shipyard is gaining a foothold in the ferry and Ro/Ro industry. In the past, ferries were rarely seen at the shipyard. Now, their visits have been repeated annually for several years. In 2022, EDR Antwerp Shipyard was commissioned to carry out maintenance and interior renovation work on the Stena Britannica and Stena Hollandica. In 2024, the shipyard welcomed the P&O Pioneer, which was only one year old at the time, as well as the Stena Transporter and Stena Transit. In 2025, it was the turn of the Pride of Hull and Finnwave. The hope is that this trend will continue in the future.

Geïnvesteerd in de toekomst / Invested in the future

NL: In 2015 nam EDR de scheepswerf in de Antwerpse haven over nadat de werf, voordien bekend als ‘Antwerp Ship Repair’, in 2013 failliet verklaard werd. EDR, voluit Engine Deck Repair, bracht met de overname een frisse wind op werf en heeft tijdens de laatste tien jaar verschillende grote investeringen gedaan om van hun dokken en de bijbehorende hangars terug een volwaardige scheepswerf te maken. Zo kreeg het 265-meter lange Droogdok 5 in 2024 nog een grondige renovatie.

EN: In 2015, EDR took over the shipyard in the port of Antwerp after the yard, formerly known as 'Antwerp Ship Repair', was declared bankrupt in 2013. EDR, which stands for Engine Deck Repair, brought a breath of fresh air to the shipyard with the takeover and has made several major investments over the last ten years to turn their docks and associated hangars back into a fully-fledged shipyard. One of these investments was the renovation of the 265-metre-long Dry Dock 5 in 2024.

Balmoral sluit Cruiseseizoen Antwerpen 2025 af / Balmoral closes Cruise Season Antwerp 2025

NL: Met de aanloop van MS Balmoral op 20 & 21 december werd het zeecruiseseizoen voor 2025 in Antwerpen afgesloten. In totaal vonden er 15 aanlopen plaats waarbij drie schepen voor de eerste keer naar de Scheldestad kwamen.

EN: With the arrival of MS Balmoral on 20 & 21 December, the 2025 sea cruise season in Antwerp came to an end. 
A total of 15 ships called at the port, with three of them visiting the city on the Scheldt for the first time.

NL: MS Balmoral van de Engelse rederij Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines kwam op 20 & 21 december naar Antwerpen voor een bezoek aan onze kerstmarkt. Het was al de 22^ste keer dat het 218-meter lange schip in de Scheldestad te zien was. Dit jaar had het schip de eer om het cruiseseizoen af te sluiten.

In totaal vonden er 15 zeecruiseaanlopen plaats die gevaren werden door 12 verschillende schepen. Drie van die schepen kwamen naar Antwerpen voor hun ‘Maiden Call’ of allereerste aanloop. Alles samen waren de 15 aanlopen goed voor 8606 passagiers, wat wel een beduidende terugval is tegenover de vorige drie jaren. Dit is onder andere te verklaren door het lagere aantal aanlopen. Oorspronkelijk stonden er 24 aanlopen gepland maar door verschillende factoren (stakingen, de nieuwe Scheldetunnel, slecht weer en routewijzigingen) vielen er maar liefst 9 aanlopen weg. Daarbij komt ook dat de schepen die wel een bezoek brachten gemiddeld een stuk kleiner waren. De gemiddelde lengte zakte tegenover 2024 van 191 naar 176 meter en het bruttotonnage van ca. 35.000 BRT naar ca. 29.000 BRT. Die trend van kleinere schepen lijkt zich ook voort te zetten naar 2026, al staan er dan wel terug een stuk meer aanlopen gepland.

EN: MS Balmoral, owned by the English company Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, visited Antwerp on 20 and 21 December to visit our Christmas market. It was the 22nd time that the 218-metre-long ship had visited the city. This year, the ship had the honour of closing the cruise season.

A total of 15 sea cruise calls were made by 12 different ships. Three of those ships came to Antwerp for their 'Maiden Call' or very first call. All in all, the 15 calls accounted for 8,606 passengers, which is a significant decline compared to the previous three years. This can be explained, among other things, by the lower number of calls. Originally, 24 calls were planned, but due to various factors (strikes, the new Scheldt tunnel, bad weather and route changes), 9 calls were cancelled. In addition, the ships that did visit were on average considerably smaller. The average length fell from 191 to 176 metres compared to 2024, and the gross tonnage from approximately 35,000 GRT to approximately 29,000 GRT. This trend towards smaller ships also seems to be continuing into 2026, although more calls are planned for next year.

NL: MS Star Pride van Seabourn mocht dit jaar het cruiseseizoen openen doordat MS Balmoral haar eerdere aanloop door een staking moest annuleren. Grand Circle Cruise Line lijkt Antwerpen ook in haar vaste bestemmingen te hebben opgenomen. Net als in 2024 kwam hun 100 meter lange MS Clio opnieuw drie keer naar de stad.

Begin juni mochten we MS World Voyager ontvangen voor een turnaround call, waarbij er een nieuwe cruise met nieuwe passagiers start vanuit Antwerpen. De eerste maiden call van het jaar was MS Vista van Oceania Cruises. Met haar 242 meter lengte was het ook meteen het grootste schip voor 2025. Ook Regent Seven Seas Cruises blijft terugkeren naar Antwerpen. Dit jaar was Seven Seas Mariner te zien aan de Scheldekaaien. Twee andere aanlopen van de rederij werden spijtig genoeg geannuleerd door omstandigheden.

EN: Seabourn's MS Star Pride opened this year's cruise season after MS Balmoral had to cancel its earlier call due to a strike. Grand Circle Cruise Line also seems to have included Antwerp in its regular destinations. Like in 2024, their 100-metre-long MS Clio visited the city three times.

At the beginning of June, we welcomed MS World Voyager for a turnaround call, with a new cruise with new passengers starting from Antwerp. The first maiden call of the year was MS Vista from Oceania Cruises. At 242 metres long, it was also the largest ship for 2025. Regent Seven Seas Cruises also continues to return to Antwerp. This year, Seven Seas Mariner could be seen at the Scheldt quays. Unfortunately, two other calls by the cruise line were cancelled due to circumstances.

NL: Het meest opvallende schip voor 2025 was zonder twijfel MS Ilma. Het 241,8 meter lange superjacht was met haar spitse boeg een unieke verschijning aan de Scheldekaaien. Het schip mag dan wel zo goed als even lang zijn als MS Vista, toch kunnen er drie keer minder passagiers aan boord. De aanloop van MS Ilma was ook de allereerste aanloop in Antwerpen van de nieuwe rederij The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

Ook de Duitse schepen waren met MS Europa, MS Europa 2 en MS Hamburg opnieuw vertegenwoordigd. De drie schepen zijn ondertussen als vaste bezoekers geworden in de stad.

Naar goede gewoonte werd het seizoen afgesloten met enkele kerstcruises. Die worden vaak gevaren door Engelse rederijen. Hun passagiers kunnen op die manier Het Kanaal oversteken om te genieten van de West-Europese Kerstmarkten. Naast MS Balmoral kwam MS Ambition ook nog twee keer langs in december.

EN: The most striking vessel for 2025 was undoubtedly MS Ilma. With its pointed bow, the 241.8-metre-long superyacht was a unique sight on the quays of the Scheldt. Although the ship is almost as long as MS Vista, it can carry three times fewer passengers. The arrival of MS Ilma was also the very first call in Antwerp by the new cruise line The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.

The German ships were also represented again with MS Europa, MS Europa 2 and MS Hamburg. The three ships have now become regular visitors to the city.

As usual, the season ended with a few Christmas cruises. These are often operated by English cruise lines. This allows their passengers to cross the Channel to enjoy the Western European Christmas markets. In addition to MS Balmoral, MS Ambition also visited twice in December.

Vooruitblik naar 2026 / Looking ahead to 2026

NL: Voor 2026 staan er momenteel 27 zeecruiseaanlopen aangemeld waarvan 3 schepen voor de eerste keer in Antwerpen te zien zullen zijn. Opvallend is dat Windstar Cruises hun Star Pride maar liefst 5 keer naar de Scheldestad zal sturen.

De eerste Maiden Call voor 2026 staat gepland in april. Dan mogen we MS Renaissance van Compagnie Française de Croisières voor de eerste keer ontvangen. In mei is het dan de beurt aan MS Seadream II, één van twee kleine luxecruisejachten van de gelijknamige rederij Seadream. De derde en laatste Maiden Call is van Silversea Cruises. De rederij keert voor de eerste keer sind 2018 terug naar Antwerpen en zal dat doen met hun Silver Spirit.

Begin september staat ook MS Deutschland van Phoenix Reisen gepland. Voor wie het schip nog wil zien in het turquoise zal dat de laatste kans zijn. MS Deutschland bezoekt ons tijdens haar allerlaatste cruise voor Phoenix Reisen. Wat er daarna met het schip gaat gebeuren is nog onduidelijk. Wel zal het momenteel in de herfst- en wintermaanden nog steeds gecharterd worden door Semester At Sea.

Het eerste zeecruiseschip dat voor 2026 aangemeld staat is opnieuw MS Balmoral op 15 & 16 februari.

EN: For 2026, 27 sea cruise calls have currently been registered, three of which will be visiting Antwerp for the first time. Interesting is that Windstar Cruises will be sending their Star Pride to Antwerp no fewer than five times.

The first maiden call for 2026 is scheduled for April, when we will welcome MS Renaissance from Compagnie Française de Croisières for the first time. In May, it will be the turn of MS Seadream II, one of two small luxury cruise yachts from the cruise line of the same name, Seadream. The third and final maiden call is from Silversea Cruises. The company is returning to Antwerp for the first time since 2018 and will do so with their Silver Spirit.

MS Deutschland from Phoenix Reisen is also scheduled to arrive in early September. For those who still want to see the ship in turquoise, this will be their last chance. MS Deutschland will visit us during its very last cruise for Phoenix Reisen. What will happen to the ship after that is still unclear. However, it will continue to be chartered by Semester At Sea during the autumn and winter months.

The first ocean-going cruise ship registered for 2026 is once again MS Balmoral on 15 & 16 February.

Maiden Call Luxury Cruise Yacht MS Ilma in Antwerpen – Ship Visit

NL: Het luxueuze superjacht MS Ilma lag op 5 en 6 september 2025 voor de eerste keer aangemeerd in Antwerpen. Het is ook de eerste keer dat de Amerikaanse rederij The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, onderdeel van de bekende hotelketen, Antwerpen bezoekt.

EN: The luxury superyacht MS Ilma was docked in Antwerp for the first time on 5 and 6 September 2025. It is also the first time that US cruise line The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, part of the well-known hotel chain, visits Antwerp.

NL: Met haar lengte van 241,5 meter is MS Ilma het tweedegrootste zeecruiseschip dat Antwerpen bezoekt in 2025. Het opmerkelijke design van het schip maakt van MS Ilma het grootste superjacht ter wereld dat vaart voor een hotelketen.

MS Ilma voer in september 2024 haar Maiden Voyage en is het tweede en grootste schip van de Amerikaanse rederij The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. De rederij is onderdeel van de bekende Hotelketen met dezelfde naam. Het schip heeft 224 suites aan boord die elk een privéterras hebben. Ondanks haar lengte en haar 10 dekken heeft het schip slechts plaats voor 448 passagiers op volle capaciteit. Hierdoor is het een van de ruimste cruiseschepen ter wereld. Een opmerkelijk aantal van maar liefst 374 bemanningsleden staat klaar voor de passagiers.

EN: At 241,5 metres long, MS Ilma is the second-largest sea cruise ship to visit Antwerp in 2025. The ship's remarkable design makes MS Ilma the largest superyacht in the world sailing for a hotel chain.

MS Ilma sailed her Maiden Voyage in September 2024 and is the second and largest ship of US shipping company The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. The cruise line is part of the well-known Hotel chain of the same name. The ship has 224 suites on board, each of which has a private terrace. Despite its length and 10 decks, the ship can only accommodate 448 passengers at full capacity. This makes it one of the most spacious cruise ships in the world. A remarkable number of as many as 374 crew members are on hand to assist passengers.

NL: The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection zag het licht in 2018. Doordat de markt van de luxecruises aan populariteit blijft winnen, besloten ook enkele hotelketens in de cruise-industrie te stappen. De opstart van de rederij ging wel niet helemaal zoals gehoopt. Hun eerste schip MS Evrima, met 190 meter een kleinere versie van MS Ilma, liep meer dan twee jaar vertraging op tijdens de bouw. De Spaanse scheepswerf Hijos de J. Barreras kwam in de problemen en kort erna gooide de Coronacrisis opnieuw roet in het eten. Ondanks de vertraging was het eerste schip een shot in de roos bij de passagiers. Hun tweede schip MS Ilma werd voor $600 miljoen gebouwd bij de bekende scheepwerf Chantiers de l’Atlantique in St. Nazaire, Frankrijk.

Net zoals bij hun eerste schip werd er specifiek gekozen om het schip qua interieur te laten lijken op hun hotels aan land. Hierdoor is er geen enkele ruimte aan boord van MS Ilma die hoger is dan één dek. Desondanks krijg je als passagier niet het gevoel dat het schip klein is. In tegendeel zelfs. De restaurants en lounges zijn zeer ruim. Met een maximumbezetting van slechts 448 passagiers, op een lengte van 241 meter, zorgt voor zeer veel ruimte aan boord.

Tijdens haar bezoek aan Antwerpen voer het schip een 9-daagse cruise van Amsterdam naar Lissabon met tussenstops in Antwerpen, Honfleur en Porto. De prijs voor die reis in een terrace suite bedraagt maar liefst €6900 per persoon.

EN: The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection saw the light of day in 2018. As the luxury cruise market continues to gain popularity, some hotel chains also decided to enter the cruise industry. The cruise line’s start-up did not go quite as hoped, though. Their first ship MS Evrima, at 190 metres a smaller version of MS Ilma, was delayed more than two years during construction. The Spanish shipyard Hijos de J. Barreras ran into problems and shortly afterwards the Corona crisis threw a spanner in the works again. Despite the delay, the first ship was a shot in the arm with passengers. Their second ship MS Ilma was built for $600 million at the well-known shipyard Chantiers de l'Atlantique in St Nazaire, France.

As with their first ship, they specifically chose to make the ship similar to their hotels on land in terms of interior design. As a result, there is no space on board MS Ilma that is higher than one deck. Despite this, as a passenger you don't get the feeling that the ship is small. On the contrary, in fact. The restaurants and lounges are very spacious. With a maximum occupancy of only 448 passengers, on a length of 241 metres, makes for very ample space on board.

During her visit to Antwerp, the ship sailed a 9-day cruise from Amsterdam to Lisbon with stopovers in Antwerp, Honfleur and Porto. The price for that trip in a terrace suite is a whopping €6900 per person.

Maiden Call Ceremonie

NL: Zoals gebruikelijk is bij het eerste bezoek van een schip aan een stad vond ook bij de aanloop van MS Ilma in Antwerpen een Maiden Call Ceremonie plaats waarbij een delegatie van de Stad Antwerpen een plaquette met de naam van het schip overhandigd aan de kapiteit. De kapitein geeft op zijn beurt een plaquette met de naam van het schip aan de Stad. Ook wordt er door de Stad Antwerpen nog een extra geschenk gegeven en wat beter dan onze eigen Antwerpse Handjes.  

EN: As is customary on a ship's first visit to a city, a Maiden Call Ceremony took place during MS Ilma's call in Antwerp, with a delegation from the City of Antwerp handing over a plaque with the ship's name to the captain. The captain in turn gives a plaque with the ship's name to the City. An additional gift is also given by the City of Antwerp, and what better gift than our own unique biscuits: Antwerpse Handjes.  

Met LNG aan de Scheldekaaien / With LNG at the Scheldt Quays

NL: De cruise-industrie is al jaren bezig aan een vergroeningskuur om hun schepen zo milieuvriendelijk mogelijk te maken. Ook The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is hierin geen uitzondering. MS Ilma werd gebouwd met duel-fuel motoren. Dat zijn motoren die specifiek ontworpen werden om op zowel de gebruikelijke scheepsdiesel, als op LNG te varen. Er kan op elk moment onmiddellijk gewisseld worden tussen de twee brandstoftypes, zonder dat daar aan boord ergens iets van te merken is.

Tijdens het verblijf van MS Ilma in Antwerpen werd ervoor gekozen om de motor die bleef draaien voor onder andere de elektriciteitsvoorziening te laten draaien op LNG. Hierdoor wordt de uitstoot van schadelijke stoffen drastisch naar beneden gehaald.

EN: For years, the cruise industry has been on a greening course to make their ships as environmentally friendly as possible. The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is no exception in this regard either. MS Ilma was built with duel-fuel engines. These are engines specifically designed to run on both the usual marine diesel, and LNG. It is possible to switch instantly between the two fuel types at any time, without any noticeable difference on board.

During MS Ilma's stay in Antwerp, the choice was made to run the engine that remained active for electricity supply, among other things, on LNG. This drastically reduces emissions of harmful substances.

Maiden Call MS Vista in Antwerpen 2025 - Ship Visit

NL: Het luxecruiseschip MS Vista van de Amerikaanse rederij Oceania Cruises kwam op 19 & 20 juli 2025 voor de eerste keer naar Antwerpen. Met haar lengte van 242 meter is MS Vista het grootste cruiseschip dat de Scheldestad dit jaar bezoek.

EN: US company Oceania Cruises' luxury cruise ship MS Vista came to Antwerp for the first time on 19 & 20 July 2025. With her length of 242 metres, MS Vista is the largest cruise ship to visit Antwerp this year.

NL: Voor het eerst kwam een schip van Oceania Cruises’ Allura-klasse naar Antwerpen. MS Vista is het eerste van twee nieuwbouwschepen die de Amerikaanse luxerederij liet bouwen bij de Italiaanse scheepswerf Fincantieri in Genua. Het tweede schip van de klasse, MS Allura, kwam op 18 juni 2025 in vaart waardoor MS Vista tijdens haar bezoek in Antwerpen net niet meer het nieuwste schip van de rederij was.

Het 242- meter lange luxecruiseschip MS Vista kwam in mei 2023 in de vaart, maar was pas voor de eerste keer in West- en Noord-Europa te zien in 2025. Het bezoek aan Antwerpen was deel van een cruise van Stockholm naar Southampton. In Antwerpen werd een overnachting gepland om de passagiers de kans te geven Antwerpen ’s avonds te ontdekken.

EN: For the first time, a ship of Oceania Cruises' Allura class came to Antwerp. MS Vista is the first of two newbuilds the US luxury liner had built at the Italian shipyard Fincantieri in Genoa. The second ship of the class, MS Allura, entered service on 18 June 2025, making MS Vista just short of being the shipping company's newest ship during her visit to Antwerp.

The 242-metre-long luxury cruise ship MS Vista entered service in May 2023, but was not seen for the first time in Western and Northern Europe until 2025. The visit to Antwerp was part of a cruise from Stockholm to Southampton. An overnight stay was planned in Antwerp to allow passengers to explore Antwerp in the evening.

NL: Bij een eerste bezoek van een schip, ook wel een Maiden Call genoemd, gaat een korte ceremonie gepaard waarbij geschenken en een plaque met de naam van het schip door de Stad Antwerpen overhandigd worden aan de bemanning. In ruil neemt de stad een plaque met de naam van het schip in ontvangst.

EN: The first visit of a ship, also known as a Maiden Call, involves a short ceremony where gifts and a plaque with the ship's name are handed over to the crew by the City of Antwerp. In return, the city accepts a plaque with the ship's name.

NL: Met haar lengte van 242 meter en grootte van 67.000 BRT is MS Vista het grootste cruiseschip dat Antwerpen in 2025 bezoekt, maar ook één van de grootste cruiseschepen dat de stad ooit bezocht. Aan boord is plaats voor 1200 passagiers en maar liefst 800 bemanningsleden. Tevens zijn er geen binnenhutten op MS Vista. Elke hut heeft zicht op zee en het merendeel heeft ook een eigen balkon. Ook de grootte van de hutten is een unicum. De standaardhutten van net geen 27m² zijn een record binnen de cruise industrie.

Met 12 verschillende dineeropties zullen de passagiers zeker niet verhongeren. Italiaanse keuken, Aziatische keuken, Franse keuken, Amerikaanse keuken, een bakkerij, … Er is voor elk wat wils aan boord.

Aan boord is ook een uitgebreide Spa te vinden met een eigen zwembad. In het midden van het bovendek bevind zich het grote zwembad. Er is ook een ruime fitness voor wie in beweging wil blijven.

NL: Wie liever artistiek bezig is kan terecht in de Artist Loft, waar je kan leren tekenen en schilderen. Wie wilt leren koken is welkom in The Culinary Center. Hier heeft iedereen zijn eigen werkplek met schuiven en een eigen inductiekookplaat.

Aan boord bevind zich ook een casino. Wie daar wint kan gaan shoppen in de verschillende tax-free boetieks op dek 5 met een ruim aanbod aan handtassen, parfum, boeken en spullen met Oceania-branding. Wie graag leest maar liever de boeken niet koopt is er op dek 14 een bibliotheek met een brede collectie.

Ook entertainment ontbreekt niet aan boord. In de Vista Lounge, het theater aan boord, kunnen de passagiers geniet van shows in Broadway-stijl. Er worden drie verschillende shows opgevoerd. Elk met hun eigen thema en karakter.

EN: Those who prefer to be artistic can visit the Artist Loft, where you can learn to draw and paint. Those who want to learn to cook are welcome in The Culinary Centre. Here, everyone has their own workstation with sliders and their own induction hob.

There is also a casino on board. Those who win there can go shopping in the various duty-free boutiques on deck 5 with a wide range of handbags, perfume, books and Oceania-branded items. For those who like to read but prefer not to buy the books, there is a library on deck 14 with a large collection.

Entertainment is not lacking on board either. In the Vista Lounge, the onboard theatre, passengers can enjoy Broadway-style shows. Three different shows are staged. Each with its own theme and character.
