Samenvatting Cruiseseizoen 2020 & Vooruitblik 2021 / Summary Cruise Season 2020 & Outlook for 2021

NL: Het jaar 2020 had een recordjaar geweest moeten zijn qua cruiseaanlopen en passagiersaantallen. Spijtig genoeg dacht het coronavirus daar anders over. In totaal kwamen er uiteindelijk maar twee zeecruiseschepen langs. Ook voor 2021 wordt het afwachten welke schepen werkelijk zullen komen.

EN: The year 2020 should have been a record year in terms of cruise calls and passenger numbers. Unfortunately, the corona virus took a different view. In total, only two sea cruise ships passed in the end. For 2021, too, it remains to be seen which ships will actually arrive.

NL: Met maarliefst 41 zeecruiseaanlopen zou 2020 het recordseizoen van Antwerpen in 2001 evenaren. Qua passagiersaantallen ging er zelfs ruimschoots een nieuw record gevestigd worden met maarliefst 42.000 zeecruisepassagiers. Het coronavirus zorgde er echter voor dat de volledige cruise-industrie vanaf maart wereldwijd stil viel. Alle aanlopen werden stelselmatig geannuleerd wanneer duidelijk werd dat dit probleem voor langere tijd zou aanhouden.

De enige cruiseschepen die in 2020 naar Antwerpen kwamen waren MS AIDAcara van AIDA Cruises en MS Black Watch van Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines in februari. In totaal brachten ze 2078 passagiers naar de stad. Ondertussen werd MS Black Watch verkocht en vervangen door MS Rotterdam van Holland America Line. MS Black Watch ligt nu in de buurt van Istanboel in Turkije waar ze gebruikt gaat worden als drijvend hotel. Ook de toekomst van MS AIDAcara is onzeker. AIDA Cruises liet recent weten dat ze eventueel één of meerde schepen zouden verkopen.

Rond de zomer waagden sommige rederijen zich aan een voorzichtige heropstart van hun cruises. Ponant en Hapag-Lloyd Cruises staken terug in zee met zeer strenge hygiëneregels. Die laatste had ook de intentie om nog drie aanlopen te doen in Antwerpen in oktober. Spijtig genoeg vielen die samen met de tweede besmettingsgolf waardoor de aanvragen geweigerd werden.

EN: With no fewer than 41 sea cruise runs, 2020 would equal Antwerp's record season of 2001. In terms of passenger numbers, a new record would have been set with no less than 42,000 sea cruise passengers. However, the corona virus caused the entire cruise industry to grind to a halt worldwide from March onwards. All calls were systematically cancelled when it became clear that the problem would persist for an extended period of time.

The only cruise ships coming to Antwerp in 2020 were MS AIDAcara from AIDA Cruises and MS Black Watch of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines in February. They brought a total of 2078 passengers to the city. A few months later, MS Black Watch was sold and replaced by MS Rotterdam of Holland America Line. MS Black Watch is now located near Istanbul in Turkey where it will be used as a floating hotel. Also the future of MS AIDAcara is uncertain as AIDA Cruises recently announced that they might sell one or more ships.

Around the summer some cruise lines dared to carefully restart their cruises. Ponant and Hapag-Lloyd Cruises returned to sea with very strict hygiene rules. The latter also intended to make three more calls at Antwerp in October. Unfortunately, these coincided with the second wave of infections, after which the applications were refused.

Vooruitblik naar 2021 / Outlook for 2021

NL: Momenteel ziet het zeecruiseseizoen voor 2021 er nog veel belovend uit. Er zouden 6 schepen voor de eerste keer naar de stad komen, waaronder ook de Sea Cloud Spirit, een splinternieuw zeilcruiseschip. Het nieuwe schip van Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, MS Bolette, zou ook enkele keren te zien moeten zijn in Antwerpen.

Het is wel nog afwachten welke schepen ook echt zullen langskomen. Tot vorige week stonden er nog 30 zeecruiseaanlopen gepland, maar dat is nu al teruggevallen op 26 omdat Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines hun vaarpauze opnieuw verlengd heeft tot het voorjaar van 2021. Hoogstwaarschijnlijk zullen ook nog andere rederijen deze beslissing volgen.

Wat wel zeker is, is dat de schepen in 2021 ontvangen zullen worden aan de nieuwe cruiseterminal in Het Steen. De schepen zullen vanaf dan aanmeren aan het cruiseponton aan het Noorderterras. EN: At the moment, the sea cruise season for 2021 still looks promising. There should be 6 ships coming to the city for the first time, including the Sea Cloud Spirit, a brand new sailing cruise ship. The new ship of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, MS Bolette, should also be seen a few times in Antwerp.

It remains to be seen which ships will actually visit. Until last week, 30 sea cruise calls were planned, but that number has already dropped to 26 because Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has extended their sailing break again until spring 2021. It is highly likely that other cruise lines will follow this decision.

What is certain is that the ships will be received at the new cruise terminal in the medieval fortress  ‘Het Steen’ in 2021. Antwerpen Closes its Cruise Terminal due to Corona Virus

NL: De Stad Antwerpen heeft besloten om de cruiseterminal in Antwerpen tijdelijk te sluiten wegens de uitbraak van het coronavirus COVID-19. Veel rederijen stoppen tegelijkertijd ook wereldwijd met varen. Hierdoor worden verschillende cruiseaanlopen in Antwerpen geannuleerd.

EN: The City of Antwerp has decided to temporarily close the cruise terminal in Antwerp due to the outbreak of the corona virus COVID-19. At the same time, many shipping companies worldwide have stopped operating. As a result, several cruise calls in Antwerp are cancelled.

NL: De verspreiding van het nieuwe coronavirus COVID-19 heeft wereldwijd een zware impact op het leven. Ook de cruise-industrie wordt hierdoor zwaar getroffen. Zo goed als alle rederijen hebben besloten om hun cruiseactiviteiten tijdelijk te stoppen. Ze varen hun cruises nog uit en blijven daarna in de havens liggen.

Veel havens weren uit voorzorg ook zelf de cruiseschepen. De Stad Antwerpen heeft ook beslist om de cruiseterminal tijdelijk te sluiten. Cruiseschepen mogen nog steeds aanmeren in de stad om proviand aan boord te nemen maar niemand mag van boord gaan. Dit geldt voor zowel de zee- als riviercruises die de stad bezoeken en gaat in met onmiddellijke werking. Deze maatregel blijft gelden tot nader bericht.

Vanaf juli 2020 mogen riviercruiseschepen opnieuw aanmeren in Antwerpen onder stricte voorwaarden. Via deze link vindt u het aangepaste afmeerplan voor de schepen. Voor de zeecruiseschepen is er momenteel nog geen nieuwe beslissing genomen.

EN: The spread of the new corona virus COVID-19 has a large impact on life worldwide. The cruise industry is also greatly affected by this. Almost all cruise companies have decided to temporarily stop their cruise activities. They are finishing their cruises, but will afterwards stay docked at the ports.

As a precaution, many ports are also banning cruise ships themselves. The City of Antwerp has also decided to temporarily close its cruise terminal. Cruise ships are still allowed to dock in the city to take provisions on board, but no one is allowed to disembark. This applies to both sea and river cruise ships that visit the city and takes effect immediately. This measure shall remain in force until further notice.

From July 2020, river cruise ships will be allowed to moor again in Antwerp under strict conditions. Via this link you will find the adapted mooring plan for the ships. No new decision has yet been taken for the sea cruise ships.

Annulaties / Cancellations

NL: Doordat de meeste cruiserederijen hun cruiseschepen niet meer laten varen zullen er ook een aantal cruiseaanlopen in Antwerpen geannuleerd worden. Niet elke rederij heeft momenteel haar activiteiten opgeschort tot dezelfde datum. Het valt dus nog af te wachten hoe de situatie zal evolueren. Momenteel is het al wel zeker dat Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines vier cruiseaanlopen annuleert. Zij stoppen met varen tot en met 22 mei 2020. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises annuleert hun aanloop van de Europa 2 in Antwerpen. 

Holland America Line verlengt hun vaarpauze tot en met 14 mei (stand 30/03) waardoor twee van de drie cruiseaanlopen van MS Veendam in 2020 wegvallen. De maiden call van het schip wordt momenteel verschoven naar 23/08. Cruise & Maritime Voyages heeft bekendgemaakt dat ze hun schepen al zeker tot 24 mei (stand 06/04) op non-actief zetten. Hierdoor vallen twee aanlopen van MS Columbus weg. AIDA Cruises verlengt hun pauze tot 31 mei (stand 08/04) waardoor een aanloop van MS AIDAvita wegvalt. Phoenix Reisen annuleert nu ook extra cruises waaronder de aanloop van MS Albatros eind mei (stand 15/04). De aanloop van MS National Geographic Explorer van Lindblad Expeditions is nu ook geannuleerd maar wordt volgens de rederij verschoven naar 2021. Met deze annulatie zijn alle cruiseaanlopen in mei afgelast. 

De cruise-industrie ziet een heropstart nog niet direct mogelijk. Holland America Line heeft daarom beslist om alle cruises in Europa, Alaska en Canada/New England voor de rest van 2020 te annuleren (stand 06/05). Hierdoor vervalt ook de derde en laatste aanloop van MS Veendam in Antwerpen voor dit jaar. Het schip wordt wel nog verwacht in Antwerpen in 2021. Sea Cloud Cruises annuleert hun ook al haar cruises tot eind juni waardoor hun zeilcruiseschip Sea Cloud II niet gaat komen. Ook Ponant annuleert extra cruises waardoor begin juli de maiden call van hun nagelnieuwe schip Le Jacques Cartier ook wegvalt.

NCLH, het moederbedrijf van Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises en Regent Seven Seas Cruises, heeft besloten om alle cruises tot en met 31 juli te annuleren. Vanaf 1 augustus gaan ze proberen om terug op te starten. Dit betekent wel dat de maiden call van MS Nautica en de aanloop van MS Seven Seas Navigator wegvallen.

Plantours Kreuzfahrten heeft nu ook de cruise van MS Hamburg naar Antwerpen moeten afzeggen. Ook Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines verlengt hun vaarpauze tot 18 juli waardoor een aanloop van MS Boudicca wegvalt. Het aantal annulaties komt daarmee op 19.

Op 20 juli liet Cruise & Maritime Voyages en TransOcean Krezufahrten weten dat ze het faillissement aanvragen. Hierdoor vallen er dit jaar nog 8 cruiseaanlopen weg. Daarnaast heeft Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines hun vaarpauze nog verlengd waardoor nog aan aanloop van MS Balmoral wegvalt. De geplande cruise van Le Dumont D'Urville van Ponant en de aanloop van The World zal ook niet doorgaan.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines heeft opnieuw hun vaarpauze verlengt waardoor de cruises van MS Black Watch, MS Boudicca, MS Braemar en MS Balmoral wegvallen in oktober en november. AIDA Cruises verlengt hun vaarpauze tot eind september waardoor de twee aanlopen van AIDAvita wegvallen. Ook MS Artania van Phoenix Reisen valt weg in oktober. Ponant annulleerde ondertussen ook de aanloop van Le Bellot.

Saga Cruises heeft bekend gemaakt dat ze al hun cruises annuleren tot begin 2021. Hierdoor valt de maiden call van MS Spirit of Discovery in Antwerpen eind december ook weg. Dat was de laatste aanloop die nog niet geannulleerd was voor 2020. Het is zeer onwaarschijnlijk dat er dit jaar nog cruiseschepen zullen langskomen in Antwerpen.

EN: Due to the fact that most cruise companies keep their cruise ships docked, a number of cruise calls in Antwerp will also be cancelled. Not every cruise company has currently suspended its activities until the same date. It remains to be seen how the situation will evolve, though at the moment it is already certain that Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines will cancel four cruise calls. They will stop sailing until 22 May 2020. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises also cancelled its call of Europa 2 in Antwerp.

Holland America Line is extending their cruise pause until 14 May 2020 (situation 30/03) and therefore two of the three cruise calls of MS Veendam in 2020 are now cancelled. The maiden call of the ship is currently postponed to 23/08. Cruise & Maritime Voyages announced that they are extending their inactive period to 24 May (situation 06/04), resulting in two cancelled calls of MS Columbus. One call of MS AIDAvita is also cancelled as AIDA Cruises extends its pause to May 31st (situation 06/04). Phoenix Reisen is now also cancelling more cruises, including the call of MS Albatros at the end of May (situation 15/04). The call of MS National Geographic Explorer of Lindblad Expeditions has now also been cancelled but will be postponed to 2021 according to the cruise line. With this cancellation all cruise calls in May have been cancelled. 

The cruise industry does not yet see the possibility of a restart. Holland America Line has therefore decided to cancel all cruises in Europe, Alaska and Canada/New England for the rest of 2020 (situation 06/05). This will also cancel the third and final call of MS Veendam in Antwerp for this year, but the ship is expected to visit Antwerp in 2021. Sea Cloud Cruises is also cancelling all their cruises until the end of June, which means that their 'sailing cruise ship' Sea Cloud II will not be coming. Ponant also cancels extra cruises which means that the maiden call of their brand-new ship Le Jacques Cartier at the start of July will also be cancelled.

NCLH, the parent company of Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises, has decided to cancel all cruises until 31 July. From August 1st they will try to restart. This means that the maiden call of MS Nautica and the call of MS Seven Seas Navigator will be cancelled.

On 20 July Cruise & Maritime Voyages and TransOcean Krezufahrten announced that they were filing for bankruptcy. As a result, 8 addiditional cruise calls will be cancelled this year. In addition, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines prolonged their sailing pause, which means that a call of MS Balmoral will be cancelled. The planned cruise of Le Dumont D'Urville of Ponant and the call of The World will not take place either.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has once again extended their sailing break, as a result of which the cruises of MS Black Watch, MS Boudicca, MS Braemar and MS Balmoral will be cancelled in October and November. AIDA Cruises has also extended their sailing break until the end of September, which means that the two calls from AIDAvita will be cancelled. Also MS Artania from Phoenix Reisen will no longer visit the city in October. Meanwhile, Ponant also cancelled the call of Le Bellot.

Saga Cruises has announced that they will cancel all their cruises until the beginning of 2021. Because of this, the maiden call of MS Spirit of Discovery in Antwerp at the end of December will also be cancelled. That was the last cruise call for 2020 that had not yet been cancelled. It is very unlikely that cruise ships will still be visiting Antwerp this year.

AIDAcara Opens Cruise Season 2020 in Antwerpen

NL: De Duitse rederij AIDA Cruises opende op 6 februari 2020 het cruiseseizoen in Antwerpen met de komst van MS AIDAcara. Het was sinds 2011 geleden dat het schip nog in de Scheldestad te zien was. Het 193 meter lange schip is het oudste van de rederij. Met de bouw van het schip werd in 1996 ook de bekende boegschildering met de ogen en rode lippen geïntroduceerd. Momenteel varen daarmee wereldwijd 14 schepen rond.

MS AIDAcara is de eerste van 41 cruiseaanlopen die dit jaar gepland staan in Antwerpen. Later dit jaar komt MS AIDAvita nog drie keer naar de stad.

EN: The German shipping company AIDA Cruises opened the cruise season in Antwerp on 6 February 2020 with the arrival of MS AIDAcara. It had been since 2011 that the ship was still to be seen in the city of the Scheldt. The 193 meter long ship is the oldest one of the company. With the construction of the ship in 1996 the famous bow painting with the eyes and red lips was introduced. Currently, 14 ships with these characteristics are sailing around the world.

MS AIDAcara is the first of 41 cruise calls planned this year in Antwerp. Later this year MS AIDAvita will visit the city three more times.

Antwerpen – Officiële Cruiselijst 2020 / Official Cruise List 2020

NL: Cruise Port Antwerp heeft de officiële lijst met zeecruiseaanlopen voor 2020 gepubliceerd. Met wat geluk evenaren we dit jaar het recordseizoen van 2001 met maarliefst 41 aanlopen. Vijf schepen zullen Antwerpen voor de eerste keer bezoeken en ook het residentieschip The World komt terug naar de stad in 2020.

EN: Cruise Port Antwerp has published the official list of sea cruise calls for 2020. With some luck we will match the record season of 2001 with no less than 41 calls this year. Five ships will visit Antwerp for the first time and the residence ship The World will also return to the city in 2020.

NL: Momenteel staan er maarliefst 41 aanlopen van zeecruiseschepen gepland in 2020. Dat is een grote stijging tegenover de 33 aanlopen van 2019. Het is momenteel wel nog afwachten of het aantal zo hoog zal blijven omdat de vijf aanlopen van MS Columbus van Cruise & Maritime Voyages nog bevestigd moeten worden. Maar zelfs zonder die aanlopen stevenen we nog steeds af op één van de beste seizoenen in jaren.

EN: At the moment, no fewer than 41 calls by sea cruise ships are planned for 2020. This is a large increase compared to the 33 calls in 2019. However, it remains to be seen whether the number will remain this high because the five calls of MS Columbus of Cruise & Maritime Voyages have yet to be confirmed. But even without them, we are still heading for one of the best seasons in years.

Vaste waarden / Regulars

NL: De meest terugkerende rederij is dit jaar opnieuw Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. De Engelse rederij bezoekt Antwerpen dit jaar maarliefst 11 keer. Deze aanlopen worden verdeeld onder de vier schepen uit hun vloot: MS Balmoral, MS Braemar, MS Black Watch en MS Boudicca. Ook de andere Engelse rederij, Cruise & Maritime Voyages keert terug naar Antwerpen. Het is momenteel nog onduidelijk of de aanlopen van MS Columbus al dan niet zullen doorgaan. Wat wel vast staat is dat MS Magellan in december opnieuw langskomt. Het schip werd recent herschilderd in de nieuwe huisstijl van de rederij, namelijk een donkerblauw romp met twee witte strepen.

Ook de Duitse rederijen zijn opnieuw goed vertegenwoordig dit jaar. Dit jaar mag de kleurrijke rederij AIDA Cruises op 6 februari het cruiseseizoen openen met hun oudste schip MS AIDAcara. Later in het jaar komt de rederij nog drie keer terug met MS AIDAvita. Phoenix Reisen komt ook terug naar Antwerpen met MS Artania en na lange tijd komt MS Albatros, het derde zusterschip van MS Boudicca en MS Black Watch, ook nog eens terug. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises stuur dit jaar enkel MS Europa 2 naar hier. Een heel speciale gast dit jaar is MS Sea Cloud II van Sea Cloud Cruises. Dit zeilschip dat specifiek wordt ingezet om cruises te varen was hier voor het laatst te zien in 2010. Ook TransOcean Kreuzfahrten komt dit jaar twee keer terug met MS Astor. Dit jaar zal denkelijk de laatste keer zijn dat het schip onder die naam te zien is in Antwerpen want het schip wordt in 2021 omgedoopt tot MS Jules Verne. Ook MS Vasco Da Gama zal in het najaar twee keer langskomen.

EN: The most returning shipping company this year is again Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines. The English shipping company will visit Antwerp 11 times this year. These calls are divided among the four ships in their fleet: MS Balmoral, MS Braemar, MS Black Watch and MS Boudicca. The other English shipping company, Cruise & Maritime Voyages, is also returning to Antwerp. At the moment it is still unclear whether or not the calls of MS Columbus will take place. What is certain is that MS Magellan will visit again in December. The ship was recently repainted in the new house style of the cruise line, namely a dark blue hull with two white stripes.

The German shipping companies are again well represented this year. This year the colorful company AIDA Cruises will open the cruise season with their oldest ship MS AIDAcara on the 6th of February. Later in the year they will return three more times with MS AIDAvita. Phoenix Reisen also returns to Antwerp with MS Artania and after a long time MS Albatros, the third sister ship of MS Boudicca and MS Black Watch, also returns. This year, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises will only send MS Europa 2 to Antwerp. A very special guest this year is MS Sea Cloud II of Sea Cloud Cruises. This tall ship, which is used specifically for cruises, last visited in 2010. Also TransOcean Kreuzfahrten comes back twice this year with MS Astor. This year will probably be the last time that the ship can be seen under that name in Antwerp, as the ship will be renamed MS Jules Verne in 2021. MS Vasco Da Gama will also visit twice in the autumn.

NL: De Amerikaanse rederij Holland America Line keert ook terug naar Antwerpen. Nu hun vroegere vaste waarde in onze stad, MS Prinsendam, rondvaart voor Phoenix Reisen als MS Amera, stuurt men MS Veendam voor de eerste keer naar Antwerpen ter vervanging. Het schip is een zusterschip van MS Vasco Da Gama en zal Antwerpen drie keer bezoeken in 2020. Seabourn komt dit jaar ook opnieuw één keer langs met MS Seabourn Quest en voor Regent Seven Seas Cruises krijgen we bezoek van MS Seven Seas Navigator.

EN: The American company Holland America Line also returns to Antwerp. Their regular visitor to our city, MS Prinsendam, is now cruising for Phoenix Reisen as MS Amera. To replace her they are sending MS Veendam to Antwerp for the first time. The ship is a sister ship of MS Vasco Da Gama and will visit Antwerp three times in 2020. Seabourn will also visit once again this year with MS Seabourn Quest and for Regent Seven Seas Cruises we get a visit from MS Seven Seas Navigator.

Expeditie / Expedition

NL: Verder komen er ook nog een aantal speciale schepen naar de stad zoals het residentieschip MS The World dat eind juli enkele dagen zal aanmeren aan het Zuiderterras. Ook het expeditieschip MS National Geographic Explorer komt naar Antwerpen. Dat schip komt op dezelfde naar Antwerpen als MS Boudicca. Waar het schip exact zal aanmeren wordt nog bekeken. MS Hamburg van Plantours Kreuzfahrten zal ook opnieuw naar Antwerpen komen. En ook Ponant lijkt de Scheldestad in hun vaste vaarroutes opgenomen te hebben. Zij sturen dit jaar twee van hun nieuwe expeditiejachten voor de eerste keer naar hier. Namelijk MS Le Bellot en MS Le Jacques Cartier.

NL: Helemaal op het einde van het seizoen, in december, krijgen we nog een mooie afsluiter. Na zes jaar afwezigheid komt Saga Cruises terug naar Antwerpen. Ze sturen meteen hun nieuwste en grootste schip naar hier: de 236 meter lange MS Spirit of Discovery.

EN: Right at the end of the season, in December, we get a nice ending. After six years of absence, Saga Cruises returns to Antwerp. They immediately send their newest and largest ship here: the 236 meter long MS Spirit of Discovery.

Nieuwe cruiseterminal / New cruise terminal

NL: De werken aan de nieuwe cruiseterminal aan Het Steen vorderen ook gestaag. Het gebouw zou in het najaar van 2020 opgeleverd worden, maar voor het volledige cruiseseizoen van 2020 zullen de schepen nog aanmeren aan de cruiseterminal aan het Zuiderterras. Ook aan het nieuwe cruiseponton wordt hard gewerkt. Als alles goed gaat, wordt het tegen juni-juli naar het Noorderterras gevaren. De verdere assemblage ervan zal rond de zomermaanden gebeuren.

Momenteel is het de bedoeling dat de schepen vanaf het cruiseseizoen van 2021 hun ligplaats aan het Zuiderterras definitief inruilen voor die aan het cruiseponton aan het Noorderterras.

EN: The work on the new cruise terminal at Het Steen is also progressing steadily. The building is scheduled to be delivered in the autumn of 2020, but for the entire cruise season of 2020, the ships will still dock at the cruise terminal on the Zuiderterras. Ritz-Carlton Cruise Yacht in Antwerpen 2020

NL: De luxueuze hotelketen Ritz-Carlton start in 2019 met haar eigen cruiserederij. In totaal zullen er drie luxueuze cruisejachten gebouwd worden en in juli 2020 mogen we hun eerste, momenteel nog naamloze, cruisejacht verwelkomen in Antwerpen.

EN: The luxurious hotel brand Ritz-Carlton will start its own cruise company in 2019. A total of three luxurious cruise yachts will be build for them, and in July 2020 we will welcome their first, and currently nameless, cruise yacht to Antwerp.

In 2019 steekt de bekende hotelketen in zee met het eerste van drie cruisejachten. De schepen van The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection zullen net zoals aan land een luxueus verblijf aanbieden aan een select aantal passagiers. De schepen worden elk 190 meter lang en zullen plaats hebben voor 298 passagiers. Aan boord bevinden zich enkel suites. 139 om exact te zijn.

Wie erover zou nadenken om de cruise te boeken zal hoogstwaarschijnlijk wel moeten beginnen sparen, want de prijs per persoon start bij €7370. Voor dat geld krijg je een Terras Suite. Wie de Owners Suite (de hoogste suitecategorie) wil boeken tijdens de cruise betaald €28.780. Voor die prijs krijg je onder andere een aparte slaapkamer, een living met eettafel en een zeer groot terras met jacuzzi.

NL: Op haar 9-daagse reis van Londen naar Hamburg zal het schip halt houden in Zeebrugge, Antwerpen en Amsterdam. In elke haven (buiten Zeebrugge) blijft het schip overnachten. Ook in de vertrek- en aankomsthaven is dat het geval.

EN: On her 9-day voyage from London to Hamburg the ship will berth in Zeebrugge, Antwerp and Amsterdam. In every port (except in Zeebrugge) the ship will stay overnight, even in the departure and arrival port.
